<p><span style="font-weight: bold; color: rgb(255, 0, 0);">Defect </span>: 필요한 기능을 수행하지 못하도록 하는 컴포넌트나 시스템 상의 결점. 결함의 예는 부정확한 구문이나 부정확한 데이터 정의 드이다. 실행 중에 결함이 발생할 경우, 컴포넌트나 시스템의 장애(failure)를 야기시킬 수 있다. (A flaw in a component or system that can cause the component or&nbsp; system to fail to perform its required function, e.g. an incorrect statement or data definition. A defect, if encountered during execution, may cause a failure of the component or system.)</p>
<p><span style="font-weight: bold; color: rgb(255, 0, 0);">Error </span>: 부정확한 결과를 초래하는 인간의 활동. (A human action that produces an incorrect result.)<span style="font-style: italic;"> 일반적으로 프로그래머에 의하여 생성된 실수(mistake)로 프로그램의 결함으로 나타난다.</span></p>
<p>제가 이것을 왜 정리했냐면 테스트에 대한 결과(효과)를 정리하는 과정에서 Test Case에 대한 Fail을<br />
Defect으로 간주해서 그 수치를 늘리려고 하시는 분이 있어서 입니다. 아무리 급해도 그렇지 이건 아니라고 생각합니다.</p>
<p>테스터가 Test Case를 수행하다 실패한 것이 <span style="font-weight: bold;">fail</span>입니다. <span style="text-decoration: underline;">이 때까지는 이것은 Defect이 아닙니다.</span>&nbsp; 이 <span style="font-weight: bold;">fail</span>이 개발 담당자에 의해서 <span style="text-decoration: underline;">결함이라고 판단 되었을 때 </span>이것은 <span style="font-weight: bold; color: rgb(255, 0, 0);">Defect</span>이 되는 것입니다. 그리고 Defect은 실패의 상황이 아닐 수도 있습니다. 로직의 오류가 인스펙션을 통해서 발견되어, 실제로 어떤 상황(문제)으로 나타나지 않더라고 이것은 Defect이라고 할 수 있습니다.</p>
<p>이런 말을 적는 저도 참 답답합니다만&#8230; 그 분도 참 답답합니다. ㅡ,.ㅡ;</p>
